Dental Implants
A permanent, natural-looking replacement for the teeth you have lost.
Dental implants replace missing teeth at the root, so they look, feel, and function like natural teeth. At McElroy Smiles in Encinitas, our doctors place and restore implants here, coordinating the final crown with a trusted master lab they control. We replace a single tooth, several, or a full arch. An implant with crown is $4,000. Results vary by patient.
Why patients choose us for implants
Dr. Greg has placed implants for years and trained more than 200 dentists, and Dr. Tyler is a surgeon who places implants and full-arch cases. Because the surgery and the restoration happen here, with a trusted master lab our doctors control for the final teeth, your care stays coordinated and your timeline shorter. If you are nervous, sedation is here too.
Your options
01
Single-tooth implant
Replaces one missing tooth from the root up, without touching the healthy teeth beside it.
02
Implant bridge
Replaces several missing teeth in a row with a fixed bridge anchored to implants.
03
Full arch / All-on-4
A full set of fixed teeth on four implants, often the same day. We call it the McElroy Smile in a Day.
04
Implant-supported dentures
A denture that snaps onto implants so it stays secure while remaining removable for cleaning.
What to expect
It starts with a free consultation and a cone-beam CT scan. We place the implant, with sedation if you want it, then it heals and fuses with your jawbone, and your final crown is crafted by the trusted master lab our doctors control. We give you an honest timeline up front, so you always know what comes next.
Cost and financing
An implant with crown is $4,000. That excludes any needed extraction and is not combined with membership or other offers. Full-arch cases are quoted at a free consultation. We offer financing through CareCredit, Proceed, and Sunbit, plus member pricing, and we are upfront about cost before anything begins.
A single dental implant with its crown is $4,000 at McElroy Smiles, which excludes any needed extraction and is not combined with membership or other offers. Full-arch cases like All-on-4 are quoted at a free consultation, since the number of implants and the final teeth vary. Financing is available, and we are upfront about cost before anything begins.
No. The placement is done with local anesthetic, and most patients are surprised by how comfortable it is. If you feel anxious, we offer nitrous, oral, and IV sedation, and Dr. Greg is among a small number of dentists certified in IV sedation. Mild soreness afterward is normal and usually managed with over-the-counter pain relief.
With good care, the implant itself can last decades, often a lifetime, because it fuses with your jawbone. The crown on top may need replacing after years of normal wear. Daily brushing and flossing and regular checkups at McElroy Smiles in Encinitas give your implant the best chance to last. Results vary by patient.
Most adults with one or more missing teeth are candidates, and the main factor is having enough healthy jawbone, which we check with a cone-beam CT scan. If bone is thin, grafting can rebuild it first. A free consultation in Encinitas gives you a clear answer and an honest plan before any commitment
